Four years ago, Ryan, originally from Long Island, New York, and Deanna, a Florida Panhandle native, met in the Lone Star State in the ‘Storybook Capital of America’ (Abilene, Texas), a beautiful beginning to an amazing love story that we at Dalton Young Weddings got to be a part of in August at their beautiful Destin wedding. They had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Emerald Grande at Harborwalk Village.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Destin, we highly recommend this one. We’ve shot many weddings here before and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Although Ryan and Deanna had an outside ceremony and indoor reception, as a beach resort, the Emerald Grande is also great for a beach wedding and is the perfect venue for some stunning photos along the coast.

Ryan and Deanna were already married when we met them, but were in the middle of organizing a beautiful summer Destin wedding to finally celebrate their union with family and friends.

They tied the knot at a very elegant wedding ceremony on the Captain’s Deck of the Emerald Grande at HarborWalk Village. Deanna and Ryan trusted us with both the photo and video, and we were glad that we got to be a part of their big day.

Deanna and Ryan tied the knot on a beautiful Friday afternoon under a clear blue sky. They said their vows under a simple yet charming wedding arbor wrapped in white drapes with beautiful floral details – it really added an understated elegance to the scene. Their wedding ceremony overlooked the prized waters of the gulf, the scenery seemed very symbolic of the long and beautiful life together they had to wait for them ahead.

Deanna looked absolutely stunning in her a-line wedding dress and lovely pearl-drop jewelry set. And, of course, we also couldn’t help but notice how amazing the wedding party looked dressed in all black, and it was a very classy look for this chic wedding celebration.

Wedding Venue

The Emerald Grande of HarborWalk Village is a breathtaking Gulf Coast getaway beach resort and one the most popular wedding venues in Destin. We were glad to be here again to help yet another couple create beautiful wedding memories. Whenever we’re here or anywhere that overlooks the coast, it feels like we’re rediscovering Destin. It’s also a very popular wedding venue for couples planning fabulous destination weddings or those who love Destin beach weddings.

The beautiful summer’s day really pulled the scene together as well, there was a light breeze just enough to keep everyone cool and send ripples through the water, and it also kept the bride’s hair out of her face instead of blowing into it!

Deanna and Ryan are a very relaxed yet energetic couple and were a joy to capture. Although they didn’t have a beach wedding, because this wedding venue is along the coast, we got some magnificent pictures and videos of them walking along the gulf’s white sandy beaches.
