For example, your guests can explore watersports, charter fishing trips, golfing, and have access to a fitness center with a full-service spa (that also offers bridal packages). Not to mention all the shopping and fine dining they can do in places nearby. In addition, if you host your wedding on a Thursday, you get to enjoy a fantastic fireworks finale!
Booking and Services
This premier Destin wedding destination has various venues for receptions and ceremonies, which are all handicap accessible. Booking these venues includes 5 hours to use these spaces: 30 minutes for the ceremony, 1 hour for a Cocktail Hour, and 3.5 hours for a reception; these times may be extended at an extra fee.
When you book this venue for your wedding, you are also guaranteed staffing for your wedding, including one bartender. Booking also includes essential rental items such as glassware and China, chairs and tables, linen, a dance floor, cake cutting services, a rehearsal the day before the wedding, and complimentary parking for your guests.
They recognize that each wedding is unique and have foregone offering packages. Instead, every wedding they host is customized to the bride and groom’s vision and personal preferences, allowing you to create a one-of-a-kind wedding that is truly your own.
Ceremonies
Their private beach is perfect for a beach wedding and can accommodate up to 50 guests. The Emeralde Grande Beach is reachable by a catamaran cruise. It is also the perfect spot for unique sunset beach pictures. In addition, it can be accessed for photo shoots if your ceremony occurs at another venue.
Their other ceremony options include a harborside Sunset Deck, which can host up to 75 guests and has panoramic views overlooking the Gulf. And the Captain’s Deck, which can host up to 180 guests and is perfectly placed over the Destin Harbor, which provides a clear view of the waters.
Receptions
For wedding receptions, they have the HarborView Room, which can host up to 124 guests. It is a dual-level venue with an outdoor patio and luxurious downstairs bar – your guests will surely enjoy this casual and fun atmosphere. In addition, this space also has floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico.
Receptions can also be held in their recently renovated Grande Ballroom, which can host up to 180 guests. The Ballroom has a flexible floor plan and stunning East Pass and Destin Harbor views. The Sunset Terrace (can host up to 40 guests) and the Sunset and Captain’s Decks are also available for receptions. In addition, they have a backup plan in case of bad weather, and all outside venues booked will have an indoor venue available. Outdoor receptions must end by 10:00 PM. Finally, tours can be scheduled so couples can have a good look at the venue before deciding.
Vendors and Wedding Coordination
Couples are allowed to hire their own wedding vendors. They also have a Preferred Vendors list that features service providers who regularly work with the Emerald Grand on events at their venue. They also offer discounted accommodation rates for your guests if you book your wedding day there; these rates vary based on the time of the year. On the big day, they have condo units in which brides can get ready.
They also require wedding coordination. While the venue offers coordination services of its own, they are flexible and allow you to use an outside planner or coordinator. External planners are permitted as long as they are a professional service and work with you under a contract.
Suppose you do opt to use their wedding coordination. In that case, services include a step-by-step guide to planning your big day. They also provide vendor management to ease the stress and complication of coordinating vendors, rehearsal coordination, and on-the-day coordination.
Catering
This venue handles all the catering for events they host, excluding custom wedding cakes and specialty desserts. Their award-winning catering services include a full range of options; Hors d’Oeuvres, Chef Attended Stations, Buffets, or Plated Dinners. And their very experienced team works with couples to create custom menus. They also offer bar services, and couples can choose between having a cash bar (paid by the guest) or hosted bar (paid by the couple) service at their wedding.
Complimentary menu tasting is offered to all couples booked at their venue. However, they recommend that menu tasting be scheduled 4-5 months before your wedding to sort out all the fine details and confirm your choices so that they are better prepared to cater your wedding.
