An engagement ring is a symbol of commitment; a promise, a pledge, and a vow. The promise is to forsake all others, to stay devoted and true; the pledge is to honor that promise selflessly, to see the whole thing through; and the vow is to keep that pledge unwaveringly until the days are few. It is a mutual agreement to become one instead of two.

Darren asked Dakota to make a pledge to stay true to them forever and she said yes to that (and of course we are excited for them!)  The most exciting part of the engagement shoot was the beach, it is how the waves, the sand, the blue water, and the weather stood still and watched these two couples bless the atmosphere with their love.

From the smiles on Dakota’s face, we could tell she could not wait to do this journey called life with him. Holding hands and walking down the beach side by side with her husband-to-be definitely was enough reason to keep that smile on her face.

We had a lot of fun during this shoot, the spark between them was so surreal and we definitely loved the vibe they brought to it. Hey now, If he stares at you the way Darren looks at Dakota then you’ve got him locked up forever.. I mean…did you see that gaze?
