Alabama’s Gulf State Park is a beautiful natural setting for a romantic outdoor wedding. Their most sought-after wedding venue, The Beach Pavilion, is located along the Gulf of Mexico and has a capacity of 200 guests. The venue is available for rental 7 days a week (apart from major holidays). It works best for sunset and evening wedding receptions, as it can only be booked from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Their Activities Center is an excellent option if you’d like an outdoor reception venue nearby. It’s an open-air venue located in the Gulf State Park Campground with incredible views of Middle Lake. It is the perfect setting for some great wedding photos. It can also host up to 200 guests and comes with 10 60-inch round tables and chairs, so you don’t have to worry about event rentals. However, suppose your wedding is smaller but would still like waterfront views. In that case, they also offer the Education Building for wedding receptions. It can host up to 50 guests and is also within the campground. It has a deck that overlooks Middle Lake, and most couples like to use it in conjunction with the nearby Amphitheater, which has permanent seating for 72 people.

To have a beach wedding at Gulf State Park, you’ll need a wedding permit; these can be purchased through the Special Events Department. They can be purchased within one year of the wedding but should not be bought any later than a week before the wedding. Although there are no refunds for the permit once purchased, they do allow you to change the date of your wedding and use the same permit.

In addition to the Pavilion, they also have other wedding venues on the Gulf of Mexico, such as Romar Beach, which allows up to 10 guests; Cotton Bayou, which allows up to 50 guests; and Alabama Point. This venue is also wheelchair accessible and has a preferred vendor list that you can refer to for service providers for your wedding.
