‘I promise you with all my heart that I will love you more and more every day of my life,’ were the opening words by the groom in this profound, beachside ceremony that had a remarkably Zen vibe with the lanterns, the wooden chairs, and the tufts of white silk. Ashley and Devin had been best friends before realizing how deeply in love they were and they are the quintessential childhood sweethearts that we all see in movies and books except they are the real-life version of the truest of love. The couple was unique in this aspect that they have grown and flourished together from childhood to the present time so they’ve been in each other’s lives since forever. As far as weddings in Okaloosa Island go, this one literally and figuratively took the cake.
It started to rain after the ceremony but no one at the wedding let that dampen the festivities and they took it cheerfully in stride. This was a day to celebrate the union of two loving souls and all the family and friends wanted to be there for the couple come rain or shine. A memorable part of the Okaloosa Island wedding videography was when a guest near and dear to the couple decided to commemorate the occasion by reciting the well-known verse from the Corinthians 13:4-8 ‘love is patient, love is kind it does not boast, it is not proud…’Another unforgettable part of the wedding film was when the officiant asked ‘who gives this woman to this man?’ and the groom came forward and the bride’s mother tearfully said as she hugged him, ‘take care of her.’ ‘Beauty is in your touch, your personality, and last but not least, it is in your heart,’ said the groom in his vows, and soon after they walked off into the sunset, a picture of perfection.
