‘Marriage is a journey, a time of adventure,’ said the officiant at Sarah and Matthew’s wedding as they stared into each other’s eyes holding hands. The ceremony was in the spirit of Miramar Beach Florida weddings, a quintessential chic beachside ceremony with an abundance of pink and white roses, foliage, lots of silk in the décor, seashells, and wooden accents. The bride’s son gave the most ardent speech about how he’d seen his mother flourish and become the woman she was always meant to be and she is never more than an amazing person than with Matthew who is the love of her life. ‘When my mom looks at Matthew her face looks different, like how I look when I’m in the woods and I can see the stars clearly.’ The symbolism in that speech fit the couple so well when they were walking hand in hand on the beach or dancing or simply looking into each other’s eyes. Their love felt like a revelation, like what the rest of us have been missing but they have so much of it in their adoration and admiration of each other.
Matthew got a video call from his son who couldn’t be there for the wedding and that made him more emotional as he got ready to walk down the aisle. The bride looked splendid with her glittery, flowy, light-as-a-feather wedding gown and a tiara in her wavy hair. ‘Neither of us is perfect, but we are perfect for each other,’ said the groom in his vows. The wedding films have so many priceless and memorable shots of them on the beach just talking or holding hands and any wedding cinematographer would be able to appreciate the true devotion that exists in the couple. The groom is as the bride puts it ‘the man I admire, trust and love beyond words…’
