Nothing says refined and elegant like a gold resort garden wedding. Rachael and Ryan got married in a beautiful wedding ceremony at The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama. We were lucky enough to be the ones to help the happy couple create beautiful memories of their wedding day. It was a perfect day along Mobile Bay with great weather, which was great for their outdoor wedding ceremony. Their wedding decor featured beautiful fall-inspired colors like orangey reds, soft pinks, and white.

Rachael and Ryan had a classy wedding ceremony on the lawn overlooking the water. Ryan, the groomsmen, and the bridesmaids walked into beautiful classical wedding music. But when Rachael came in, she walked down the aisle to a piano rendition of Yellow by Coldplay. Her entrance was definitely among one of the many breathtaking moments of their ceremony.

Rachael and Ryan clearly loved by their friends and family. We saw quite a few emotional faces. Ryan’s best man was also visibly touched by being a part of his wedding. Overall it was a wonderful experience to be in the middle of (and a part of) the amazing journey they were about to begin together. We got to see some emotional first looks and vow readings.

We also loved how the minister recounted Ryan’s reason for marrying Rachael – he said loving her was like a treasure hunt; the more he dug, the more he found, and he just wanted to keep digging. Rachael fell in love with Ryan over the series of small wonderful things he showed about himself to her, his love for his mom, his family, and of course, her. After their vows, they had a unity cross ceremony, which will be displayed in their home as a reminder of their marriage vows.

They had a ballroom reception with a great flow of energy all around them. it was one of the liveliest Alabama weddings we’ve shot. For their guests, they set up a photo booth with props so that they could create their own memories too. Towards the end, after everybody had danced the night away. They made their exit in a golf cart after going through a lot of petal throws by their guests.
